VIATT 2025 set to advance sustainability and digitalisation in Vietnam’s textile industry

Ho Chi Minh City, 23 October 2024. In recent years, Vietnam has rapidly transformed into one of the world’s key textile producers, solidifying its position as the world’s third-ranked exporter behind China and Bangladesh[1]. With a history rooted in silk textile craftsmanship and currently embracing wide ranging modern textile production, the country’s thriving sector offers tremendous growth prospects for both domestic and international businesses. In a bid to harness the potential in Vietnam and Southeast Asia, the Vietnam International Trade Fair for Apparel, Textiles and Textile Technologies (VIATT) will return from 26 – 28 February 2025, with a renewed focus on promoting sustainability and digital transformation.

VIATT 2025: multifaceted fair poised to aid rejuvenation of Vietnam's textile industry

Ho Chi Minh City, 28 June 2024. After navigating the challenges of 2023, Vietnam's textile and garment exports have been gradually recovering. Additionally, foreign direct investment (FDI) into Vietnam during the first five months of this year reached USD 11 billion, a 2% year-on-year increase, according to the Foreign Investment Agency under the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI)[1]. To cater to Vietnam’s renewed business opportunities, the Vietnam International Trade Fair for Apparel, Textiles and Textile Technologies (VIATT) will return from 26 – 28 February 2025 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC).

First ever VIATT attracts 17,262 visits, lays foundation to ‘harness growth of Vietnam’s textile market’

Ho Chi Minh City, 14 March 2024. As the inaugural Vietnam International Trade Fair for Apparel, Textiles and Textile Technologies (VIATT) drew curtains on 1 March 2024, Messe Frankfurt's first integrated textile fair in Asia has positioned itself as an essential platform for the entire textile value chain. Covering three major industry sectors, the three-day fair attracted 17,262 visits from 55 countries and regions, connecting with 409 exhibitors from 17 countries and regions. In addition to attracting top-quality suppliers, participants also noted the high calibre of buyers and the clear potential for growth at future editions.

Vietnam’s textile fair launch: VIATT sets sail after joint efforts by MOIT, Messe Frankfurt, and VIETRADE

Ho Chi Minh City, 23 February 2024. The inaugural edition of the Vietnam International Trade Fair for Apparel, Textiles and Textile Technologies (VIATT) will raise curtains next week from 28 February – 1 March 2024 in Halls A and B1 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC). Hosted by Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT), this is the first trade fair organised by Messe Frankfurt and VIETRADE. The organisers were pleased to realise the comprehensive show so soon after signing a memorandum of understanding (MOU) last March, and with a promising initial outcome are optimistic it will help shape the future of Southeast Asia’s textile industry. Set to host over 400 exhibitors from 16 countries and regions, amidst prominent domestic confidence, the fair will cover apparel fabrics, yarns and fibres, and garments; home textiles; as well as technical textiles and nonwovens, textile processing, and printing technology.

Vietnam’s booming market to usher in new textile sourcing season at VIATT 2024

Ho Chi Minh City, 19 February 2024. Despite emerging as the third-largest exporter in the world, Vietnam’s garment and textile products still have ample opportunities to expand their global influence. In 2023, Vietnam’s textile and garment products were exported to a record 104 countries and regions [1], while the export turnover is expected to rise 9.2% to reach USD 44 billion in 2024 [2]. To kick off this year’s spring sourcing season, and help industry players penetrate the country's steadily expanding textile market, the inaugural Vietnam International Trade Fair for Apparel, Textiles and Textile Technologies (VIATT) will take place from 28 February – 1 March 2024.

VIATT’s inaugural edition in 2024 key to navigating Vietnam’s rapidly developing textile sector

VIATT 2024’s strong prospects highlighted at Intertextile Apparel press conference

Harnessing the synergy of the Texpertise Network of Messe Frankfurt and its global apparel flagship, the co-organisers of the Vietnam International Trade Fair for Apparel, Textiles and Textile Technologies (VIATT) recently held a joint press conference on 28 August 2023, the first day of Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics – Autumn Edition. Discussing the inaugural fair’s comprehensive, business-friendly nature, representatives of both Messe Frankfurt and VIETRADE spoke in glowing terms about the potential of ASEAN’s new platform for the entire textile industry. Set to launch the spring sourcing season, the fair will take place from 28 February – 1 March 2024 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), Ho Chi Minh City.

VIATT 2024: Messe Frankfurt and VIETRADE launch comprehensive new Vietnam textile fair

With combined regional, global, and industry specific expertise, the Vietnam International Trade Fair for Apparel, Textiles and Textile Technologies (VIATT) will make its debut from 28 February – 1 March 2024. Following the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) in late March, Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd and the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (VIETRADE) wasted little time announcing the international fair for the entire textile value chain. The extensive three-day platform will be staged at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), Ho Chi Minh City. With the textile trade winds bearing upon Vietnam, the organisers are confident in leveraging their various strengths to realise a show of unprecedented scope within the industry.
